Training

It is Smart Security’s firm belief that your electronic security system is only as strong as the people behind it. Service is at the very core of our business. We place immense value on our customer service; a value we trust you will find evident when dealing with any of our members of staff. Of equal importance is that your system, once purchased and installed, is properly maintained by qualified technicians.

To ensure the high level of service and maintenance is continuous, Smart Security will train and develop its staff to the highest standards. A program has been designed specifically to develop the internal capacity of our technical staff. All employees will go through the tailor made Smart Security training program – ‘Expert’.

The ‘Expert’ electronic security training program ensures the highest possible levels of service to our customers by defining a clear process for employees to advance their skills and management capabilities. Employees can and will be developed from junior technicians through to managers fit for worldwide industry standards.

It is a Smart Security guarantee that only qualified members of our technical team will be dealing with your requests during any stage of the process; be it site surveys, proposals, installations, maintenance or repairs. Therefore, no Smart Security staff will ever consult a customer without having completed the relevant stage(s) of the ‘Expert’ program.

“Expert” Program

Smart Security’s ‘Expert’ program has been designed to cater for all levels of expertise. There are five main levels within each of which there is a specific process culminating in an exam. A junior technician just out of Technical School/College can slot right in at the beginning of the program and a more experienced staff member can join at a later stage once certified for the lower levels.

Within each level of the program there is a mixture of theory and on-the-job training. To enable this dual process to work the junior employee is shadowed by a senior member of staff throughout the process.

Through each level of the program, the trainee will learn about the three main systems in electronic security: CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms. At completion the employee will be equipped with a good knowledge base of these three key electronic security systems.

Smart Security’s Head Technician, who has more than a decade of world-class experience in electronic security, will certify the employees through an exam that includes both theoretical and practical elements.
